Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Blambangan Journal of Nursing and Health Sciences (BJNHS) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes scholarly work in nursing and health sciences. All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

Scope

The journal accepts manuscripts related to nursing practice, midwifery, public and community health, nursing education, leadership and management, health services, and interdisciplinary health research. Submissions must demonstrate clear implications for practice, education, leadership, or health policy.

  • Conceptual or Theoretical Papers
  • Letters to the Editor

Manuscript Preparation

  • Language: English
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Spacing: 1.5; Paper size: A4
  • Manuscript structure (research articles): Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References
  • Abstract: Maximum 250 words; Keywords: 3–5 terms

Ethics and Reporting Standards

  • Research involving human participants must include ethical approval and informed consent where applicable.
  • Authors must declare conflicts of interest and funding sources.
  • Manuscripts are screened for plagiarism.
  • Authors are encouraged to follow relevant reporting guidelines (CONSORT, STROBE, COREQ, PRISMA).

References

References must follow APA (7th edition) style and include recent, relevant international literature.

Submission and Review

Manuscripts must be submitted through the Online Journal System (OJS). All submissions undergo editorial screening and a double-blind peer-review process.

Open Access and Copyright

BJNHS is an open access journal. Authors retain copyright and agree to publication under a Creative Commons license as specified by the journal.
